Martina Mosing (Ini) Dr. Med Vet, Dip ECVAA, MRCVS
I wanted to become a vet since I was 3 years old and I succeeded in 1996 when I graduated from the Veterinary school in Vienna, Austria. After being a proper vet I wanted to become a surgeon - but fortunately there was no free training position for a young motivated surgeon at the surgery department in Vienna at that time - only a temporary position for somebody managing the "boring" anaesthesias - and here we are: 12 years later I am still an anaesthetist!
After completing my thesis at the Veterinary University in Vienna I started an alternative residency program spending several months at the Veterinary Faculty in Bern. I was involved in the build-up of the Clinic of Anaesthesiology and perioperativen Intensive Care in Vienna (today headed by Prof. Yves Moens) for 11 years before I decided to get to know to the "British way of anaesthesia". I am now working as a senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool at the Anaesthesia Division at Leahurst Campus.
